Sober Living Program Criteria

Take your first step. Choose a sober life.

Pathway to Serenity offers a safe, supportive, substance-free environment where residents can build a new way of living in sobriety. Rooted in the 12-Step Program of Alcoholics Anonymous and a structured house environment, we promote personal and spiritual growth for each resident. We welcome individuals ready to take action in their recovery and to develop practical life skills that support long-term sobriety.

Our program guidelines are designed to foster a strong sense of community and maintain an atmosphere that truly supports recovery.

90 Day Program

Do the work. See results.

Pathway to Serenity’s intensive 90-day program is built for men who are ready to get sober, do the work, and completely reset their lives. It offers a secure alcohol- and drug-free environment with structured days, strong accountability, and a builtin support system designed to help you rebuild from the ground up.

You’ll take part in individual and group counseling, 12-Step education and support meetings, relapse-prevention planning, and practical education about addiction as a disease. The goal is simple: help you face every part of your dependency and replace old patterns with new behaviors, skills, and support networks that last.

Who the program is for

  • Men 18 or older
  • Currently struggling with alcohol or drug use
  • Fully detoxed for approximately 7–10 days before admission
  • Able to provide a valid ID or driver’s license and Social Security card

Why this setting works

  • Small community, big impact. A limited number of residents means you actually know your counselors, and they know you. With an average ratio of 5 residents to 1 counselor/therapist and 4 to 1 directcare staff, you get focused attention instead of getting lost in the crowd.
  • Therapy that meets you where you are. Licensed therapists use evidence-based, patient-centered approaches tailored to your story and goals.

What the clinical work includes

  • Individual and group counseling
  • Motivational Interviewing to strengthen your commitment to change
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to rebuild thought and behavior patterns
  • Grief work and unresolved-loss intervention
  • Denial-reduction and insight-building
  • Anger management and emotional-regulation skills
  • Family therapy to begin repairing and strengthening key relationships

Take the first step. You got this.

“I’ve graduated from both phases of the Pathway to Serenity program. Today I am 9 months sober and truly believe I never have to use again. Mr. and Mrs. Owens pour their hearts out to convince us that there’s a better life on the other side, accepting life on life’s terms.”
